This small church at Karukachal follows the structural typology of the other churches in this archive, with a metal trussed roof and a multi storeyed framed structure at both ends. This church belongs to the Malankara Marthoma Syrian Christian Church which has an interesting history of reformist, protestant belief that sought to break away from the Orthodox Syrian Christian Church of Kerala.

associated with the protestant tradition in Europe (as opposed to the Gothic style preferred by catholic church) was therefore used prominently. As the drawings indicate, certain additions on the side were made at the time of construction by the patrons of the church.
